The entire area is populated but not crowded (although we were there after the summer season and just before leaf peeping season). We're not hot tub people, but we found ourselves enjoying it each evening after long hikes in the hills surrounding the lake. The whole house was clean and appears to be quite new on the inside. The bathroom is bigger than the photos make it look. There is lots of storage space throughout, and the kitchen is well stocked. My initial reaction upon walking in was, "I could live here!" The rooms are small but not cramped. Cozy Cottage fit the bill for the two of us and our dog. Our lives at home had become hectic, and my husband and I needed to leave it all behind for a week. Though some cell service providers get better reception than others in Deep Creek, it is a rural, wooded area, and guests should be prepared for service to be limited. We’ve also shared your comments with the homeowner for consideration when making updates to Cozy Cottage. While we regret that we were not given the opportunity to resolve the issue during your stay, we will have our housekeeping and maintenance teams show a little extra love to this home to ensure our future guests’ comfort. Further, cleanliness is extremely important to us and we do encourage our guests to contact us within 24 hours of their arrival should any aspect of the housekeeping be found unsatisfactory so that we can accommodate right away. Update 8/17/22: Hi Alina, we wanted to update you that the homeowner of Cozy Cottage has replaced the mattress! Thanks for the feedback, we always strive to improve our homes and service but can sometimes only do so when we're made aware of the issue so we appreciate that you provided us with this insight. We know we can exceed your expectations, and we would love to host you again. If you do, we would love for you to give us a second chance. We hope that you will return to Deep Creek lake for a future vacation. We have forwarded your feedback about the mattress to the homeowner, who I'm certain will promptly address that issue. Cozy Cottage has a nice level yard, but it is surrounded by a wooded area that might not be the preferred walking condition for every dog or owner. We are also sorry you didn't feel the property was a good place for walking your dog. Mattresses are a tricky thing because individual preferences are so individualized.
